Itinerary:
9:00 a.m.: (Departure from Santiago)
Departure from Santiago by tour bus, from Parque Arauco Boulevard, Module TURISTIK
9:15 a.m.: Stop at Asturias Hotel, 21 Ramon Carnicer Street, Providencia, Santiago.
10:30 a.m.: Stopping at one of the sides of Jumbo Supermarket in Rancagua, Ruta del Cobre road. The trip continues through Eduardo Frei Montalba Road, passing by Maitenes control, and continuing by the extraordinary mountain road, with a panoramic view to the different an impressive facilities and Plants of The El Teniente Mine. (Concentrator Plant, Rail Road Terminal of Alto Colon and Caletones Smelter Plant).
12:00 p.m.
Arrival at Sewell Mining Camp. The tour is made in a descending way, starting from the Teniente Club building.. With a general panoramic view, an historical speech about the camp is given: special camp architecture, chiefs buildings , employees, workers, the Long Stair, the Staff House, theater, social clubs, external view of the mineral, Black Mountain, the church and visit to the Great Copper Mine Museum.

• To sign manifest of touristic visitor, registering full name, age, nationality, passport number of visitors, where Codelco is exempted from any responsibility of eventual damages or accidents of any kind which may occur during the visit.
• It is important to take with you: sunscreen, hat or jockey for sun protection.
• People under 7 or over 75 years old is not allowed.
• It is forbidden to bring pets.
• Health compatible with the height (2,300 m)
• To make a reservation you need: name, ID or passport, ages and nationalities of all travellers.
• Allowed to take pictures and video.
• Bring comfortable shoes.
• Bring mineral water.
• The company is not responsible for personal belongins loosing.
• The tour could be canceled by unfavorable weather conditions reasons or higher order from Codelco Division El Teniente.
Miner Camp of Sewell, a legend of Los Andes.
The legendary miner camp located at 150 kilometers from Santiago, is raised in the side of a mountain, between two mountain streams, and it is exceptional because of his architecture, with beautiful wood buildings up to six floors, a city that in its apogee could lodge more than 15.000 people among workers and their families.
It was built at the beginning of the century, it has stand, unhurt, storms and earthquakes. Today is being restored and it´s central part has been named National Monument. Codelco Chile (the greatest chilean mining company) is struggling to give it the title of World Heritage, because its unique features.
